Manager, Safety Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking a Manager, Life Safety Architect, to lead the charge of regulation compliance and permitting efforts. You’ll own the life safety process from start to finish: the digitization of regulations, reviewing, and stamping plans, transforming manual steps into automation, and leading a growing team of architects and engineers. You’ll be the go‑to authority on code, compliance, and quality—but also a key player in how we rethink the whole delivery model.

The Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of reviewing building plans against fire safety regulations (IBC, IFC, NFPA, etc.) in commercial and industrial construction and renovation projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited Architectural program.
• Professional Architectural License and be able to be licensed in multiple states.
• 5+ year professional Architectural Design experience, specifically designing, reviewing and approving life safety or fire protection .
• Expert knowledge of any of: IFC, IBC, NFPA 101, 10.
• Remote role accepted (inside or outside US), but must have experience with US projects.
• Expert-level proficiency with REVIT or AutoCAD

• Experience in commercial and industrial facilities (hazmat, BES, hydrogen) or similar industries
• Direct experience working as an applicant for building permits or fire permits, or as a reviewer (within AHJs or on their behalf).
• Expert knowledge of any of: NFPA 13, NFPA 72.
