Our Atlanta office serves as a core regional hub for architecture, engineering, and interior design, delivering integrated solutions for commercial, educational, hospitality, mission‑critical, and corporate facilities.
BRPH is looking for an Interior Designer for our Atlanta, Georgia office. The ideal candidate will coordinate construction installation review and work in all phases of small to medium‑sized projects and specialized phases of large, complex projects.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Serve as prime contact for clients, consultants, and public agencies.
- Participate in project design and client interviews; consolidate information into a Program Document outlining square footage and personnel requirements.
- Initiate preparation of Equipment Lists gathering electrical, plumbing, and special HVAC requirements.
- Prepare schematics, including block and stacking plans.
- Develop space plans.
- Create complete sets of construction documents.
- Assist with technical implementation of design concepts during construction documentation, specifications, building, and construction administration.
- Ensure code compliance with ADA and Life Safety; coordinate with Architect of Record throughout the design process.
- Prepare reports and specifications.
- Coordinate all project discipline drawings.
- Communicate with outside consultants.
- Utilize computer‑aided design drafting to produce routine final drawings; perform CADD operations.
- Prepare presentation boards.
- Apply knowledge of construction techniques and constructability for interiors (flooring, partitions, ceilings, finish materials).
- Assist senior staff with construction site visits, shop drawing reviews, RFI and ASI preparation, PRs, status reports, and construction administration duties.
- Review outgoing submittals; uphold job‑specific standards and quality.
- Review project schedule and budget worksheets.
- Assist in developing furniture bid packages when requested.
- Maintain and monitor project profitability.
- Coordinate manpower allocations for assigned projects.
- Attend weekly scheduling meetings with the department.
- Encourage continuing education and professional growth.
- Promote mentoring among Interior Design staff and support NCIDQ certification efforts.
- Maintain administrative and technical documents required by senior staff.
- Assist with billing invoice clarifications.
- Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and trade organizations.
- Marketing duties: participate in marketing efforts and client presentations; maintain client relationships; develop new revenue streams.
- Contract duties: general knowledge of interior design contracts; identify scope modifications and pursue additional services when appropriate.

- Four‑year degree in Interior Design from a CIDA‑accredited college or university.
- Minimum four years of professional experience within the Interior Design or Architectural field.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
