NELSON is seeking a highly motivated, team‑oriented Architect for its Hospitality Practice
. Candidates should demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and the ability to produce design and construction documents from programming through CD/CA. Experience with 3D modeling and implementing designs through the design process, as well as ground‑up projects in hospitality, is strongly preferred.

• Lead multiple projects through the design process, production of construction documents, and construction administration.
• Participate in design phase activities and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Develop technical solutions and assist the project team with design questions.
• Assist with proposal and contract documents, and contribute to the project work plan.
• Prepare and review concept, schematic, design development, and construction documents.
• Conduct field surveys as required and oversee material research and project data compilation.
• Coordinate the preparation of addenda, bulletin documentation, and shop drawing review.
• Review and correct deliverables, ensuring compliance with building codes and applicable standards.
• Maintain project files, prepare updates, and manage punch lists and site observations.
• Provide client relationships, secondary contact support, and business development efforts.

• Extensive knowledge of design, construction methodology, materials, and manufacturers.
• Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, and growth & quality processes.
• Experience with building regulations, life safety codes, and ADA requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop, Revit, MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, and project management tools.
• Excellent communication, mentorship, and leadership skills.
• Licensed architect in at least one state and 7+ years of experience in architectural design.
• University‑accredited Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Experience in hospitality ground‑up projects is strongly preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
• Architectural license in at least one state.
• 7+ years of relevant architectural experience.
• Ground‑up hospitality project experience preferred.

Salary range: $70,000 – $120,000 depending on experience. Additional compensation includes bonuses (Long Term Incentive Plan, Short Term Incentive Plan, Profit Sharing).
