Position SummaryThe Customer Coordinator monitors the Central Passenger Terminal Complex (CPTC) and the overall airport to maintain a comfortable, safe, functional, and healthy environment. As the first line of defense representing the customer, the Coordinator identifies and resolves issues impacting the customer’s experience at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Responsibilities- Continuously review custodial partner performance to ensure services meet contract specifications; note deficiencies, initiate corrective action, and follow up for timely completion.
- Support continuous process improvement by studying processes and procedures to identify causes for non‑compliance and ensuring corrective action.
- Perform assigned Preventative Maintenance checks.
- Respond to internal/external customer requests through coordination with custodial and maintenance services.
- Adhere to all health, safety and security procedures; report areas of concern to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Provide written and verbal reports on service level performance, problem areas and discrepancy updates.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with internal/external customers and other departmental AATC team members to ensure the highest level of communication and customer service.
- Identify discrepancies and enter them in the work order system.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and remain insurable; safely drive company vehicles on airport property as needed.
- Work in both inside and outside conditions with exposure to various weather situations (rain, snow, heat, cold).
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, lift and carry/push up to 50 pounds.
- Available to work or be called in to work 24/7; shift work based on a seniority schedule.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general maintenance and/or custodial services.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Pass requirements for an ATL badge with customs seal, including a 10‑year background search by fingerprint analysis.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving skills across a diverse group of internal/external customers.
- Passion for customer service excellence.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment; effectively multi‑task and address time‑sensitive tasks.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency, accountability and result orientation; able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Team oriented with the ability to build consensus and establish effective relationships.
