POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Manager of Branding and Digital Engagement leads the district's visual identity and digital engagement initiatives. This role oversees the design, development, and governance of district branding assets; drives the production of high-impact digital content; and advances cohesive engagement strategies across all social media and digital platforms. The Program Manager ensures consistent brand stewardship, effective storytelling, and meaningful audience engagement.
MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field
- Additional years of equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement
- N/A
- 5 years of professional experience in graphic design, branding, and digital communications required
- 2 years leading branding initiatives or digital engagement programs required
- Supervisory or team leadership role required
- Experience in K 12 education or public sector preferred
- Advanced expertise in graphic design, branding systems, accessibility standards, and digital engagement
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and modern design platforms
- Deep understanding of social media design, visual storytelling, and digital content optimization
- Strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills
Brand Leadership & Visual Identity
- Leads development and implementation of district branding standards and visual identity systems
- Designs district wide assets, toolkits, templates, and creative frameworks
- Serves as steward of the APS brand across all platforms
- Designs high-quality graphics, images, and visual content for:
- Social media
- Web platforms
- Digital campaigns
- District publications
- Marketing and engagement initiatives
- Ensures visual consistency and excellence across all communications
- Develops visual strategies that increase digital engagement and audience reach
- Partners with social media and communications teams to optimize content performance
- Monitors trends in digital storytelling, design, and engagement tools
- Manages branding and digital engagement projects from concept through execution
- Oversees creative timelines, workflows, and quality standards
- Coordinates with Communications, Technology, and district departments to meet priorities and timelines
- Provides training and resources to district staff on branding tools and design standards
- Builds internal design capacity and reduces external production costs
- Required to have prompt, regular attendance in person and be available to work on-site during regular business hours and as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator or their representative

Mental Requirements: Ability to read, write, understand, interpret and apply information at a moderately complex level essential for successful job performance; math skills at a high school proficiency level; judgement and the ability to process information quickly; learn quickly and follow verbal procedures and standards; give verbal instruction; rank tasks in order of importance; copy, compare, compile and coordinate information and records.
