Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. This role will oversee ground-up and major renovation projects within the healthcare and/or commercial markets. The Superintendent will be responsible for leading all field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day on-site construction operations from mobilization through closeout
• Develop and manage short-term schedules in alignment with the master project schedule
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
• Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and company safety culture
• Ensure quality control standards are met, including inspections and documentation
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, and engineers
• Manage inspections, permits, and compliance with local building codes
• Proactively identify and resolve field issues to prevent delays
• Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Superintendent experience with a commercial general contractor
• Project experience in one or more of the following:
  • Healthcare facilities (hospitals, medical office buildings, surgical centers)
  • Commercial projects (office, retail, institutional, municipal, hospitality, etc.)
• Experience on ground-up projects preferred; renovation experience in occupied environments is a plus
• Strong knowledge of concrete, steel, and/or masonry structures
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience managing projects $5M+ preferred
• OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred Experience (Healthcare Candidates)

• Familiarity with ICRA protocols
• Experience working in active hospital or clinical environments
• Knowledge of AHCA guidelines and healthcare compliance standards
