About the RoleThis construction professional utilizes experience and education to convert project concepts, requests, and plans into written scopes for service agreements and contracts. Estimating is a collateral duty. The role works closely with the Director of Preconstruction/Proposal Development and VP of Renovation & Construction, interacts with owners to verify requirements, and supports subcontractor bid validation. Remote position.
What you'll be doing- Develop written scopes of work for Requests for Proposals.
- Interact with stakeholders.
- Understand cost development of construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree with recognition of acceptable writing ability.
- 3+ years experience in technical writing, construction documentation, estimating support, or military housing contracting environments.
- 3 years experience writing scopes for construction execution.
- Experience supporting multifamily renovations and capital repair work (building envelope, interiors, MEP, utilities, site amenities).
- Strong understanding of construction terminology, building systems, renovation workflows.
- Knowledge of RSMeans and conceptual estimating practices.
- Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft 365, including Copilot.
- Experience with Eagle View and Hoover or comparable tools.
- Excellent writing, editing, formatting, and document control skills.
- Strong technology and digital workflow skills.
- Ability to travel 10–25 % for field verification and assessments.
- Physical ability to access active construction jobsites and residential communities (climb ladders, access roofs, enter attics or crawl spaces).
- Active and valid driver's license.

Pay Rate: $90,000 per year. Salary may be adjusted based on experience, qualifications, location, performance, etc. Additional compensation such as bonuses and incentives are at company discretion.
