Position Description
ER Snell is looking to hire an experienced Roadway Safety Officer. This person will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining safe roadways at the job sites.
- The Safety Officer will manage traffic flow, conduct thorough investigations following accidents, and ensure that safety protocols are adhered to.
- Utilize traffic monitoring systems aids in effective management and swift response to potential hazards.
- Manage disputes and diffuse road rage situations.
- Conduct road safety audits and inspections
- Work closely with Project Owners, PM's, Superintendents, and sub-contractors to ensure implementation of safety policies
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies on road safety initiatives.
- Educate and train employees on health and safety standards.
- Order non-standard or specialized safety equipment needed on the project.
- Other safety-related duties as may be assigned
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience
- Bilingual - Fluency in Spanish is preferred
- OSHA 510 - OSHA Construction Standards/OSHA 511 - OSHA General Industry
- OSHA 500

- General Industry - STS-C (Safety Trained Supervisor

- CHST

- Emergency Management Training
- First Aid - CPR & AED
- Good MVR & Background check
- Basic Computer skills:
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook - Must work well independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing and walking required throughout a work shift
- Must be able to work at heights up to 70 feet
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel and crawl occasionally
- May work some nights and weekends
