Position Summary
The Superintendent is responsible for the on-site coordination and supervision of all construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent leads field operations, manages trade partners, and ensures compliance with company policies and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Field Leadership & Execution
- Lead daily on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout.
- Develop and maintain the project master schedule in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Conduct daily huddles and weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Ensure work is installed per drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Identify and proactively resolve field issues.
- Champion a strong safety culture aligned with company standards.
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct jobsite safety meetings, audits, and inspections.
- Document incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
- Evaluate subcontractor manpower and productivity.
- Hold trade partners accountable to scope, schedule, and quality.
- Promote teamwork and professional jobsite conduct.
- Implement and manage the project Quality Control Plan.
- Conduct pre-installation meetings and inspections.
- Ensure all work meets design intent and client expectations.
- Manage punch list and project closeout process.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for owners, architects, and inspectors.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and local authorities.
- Provide regular updates on progress and field conditions.
- Maintain daily reports, site logs, and photo documentation.
- Track deliveries, inspections, and material inventory.
- Coordinate inspections and permits with local agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent field experience.
- 5+ years of commercial construction field experience (varies by project size).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control.
- OSHA 30 certification (preferred or required).
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam).

- Primarily on active construction sites.
- May require travel or relocation depending on project assignment.
