Project Manager-Special Projects Overview

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join a fast-growing Interiors & Special Projects, team delivering high-quality commercial interior and renovation projects throughout the Atlanta market. This role offers exposure to diverse project types, strong internal support, and clear opportunities for advancement within a growing group focused on repeat clients and complex interior work. They will manage engaging interior projects across a wide range of commercial markets, including both renovation and adaptive re-use work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial interior construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure timely execution
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, coordination, and performance management
  • Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and change management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and consultants
  • Partner closely with field leadership to align scope, schedule, and quality expectations
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contract requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects with a General Contractor
  • Background in one or more of the following markets:
    Education, Office, Historic Preservation, Adaptive Re-Use, Hospitality, or Municipal
  • Strong proficiency in project scheduling, subcontractor relations, and project financials
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience managing interior renovation or occupied-space projects
  • Familiarity with industry-standard project management and scheduling software
