DC Blox operates on a hybrid schedule. We work in the office Tuesday – Thursday and remote on Mondays and Fridays.

The Construction Cost Estimator will manage all aspects of data center construction and fit‑out estimation as well as analyses activity in support of the Construction, PMO, Engineering, and Sales organizations. The Construction Cost Estimator will work closely with internal teams, customers, contractors, and executives to execute one of the most demanding data center infrastructure programs in the industry.

• Collaborate with Real Estate, Engineering and other DC BLOX departments to gather requirements, drawings, and specifications for upcoming projects
• Support bid and proposal efforts by developing internal cost estimates using manual tools, on‑screen take‑off software, and estimating logs
• Build and maintain cost databases and models for use in future projects
• Develop a standardized, repeatable, and accurate estimating methodology for consistent project cost assessments
• Prepare cost analysis and associated reporting
• Review cost deliverables from third parties before submission to internal stakeholders
• Deliver high‑quality recurring and ad‑hoc reports, both verbal and written
• Ensures project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Other duties as assigned

• Deep knowledge of telecommunications and data center products, services, and operations
• Strong manual take off estimating skills as well as use of on‑screen take off software
• Proficient computer skills including the use of MSFT Suite of products, CAD, BIM, and CostX software
• Solid understanding of construction terminology, processes, and contractor roles
• Ability to interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts/general conditions) at all stages of design
• Self‑starter with positive attitude and strong emotional intelligence
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple estimating projects simultaneously
• Strong track record of meeting deadlines by effectively leveraging collaboration with team and peers
• Commitment to continuous process improvement and high‑quality deliverables

• Extensive knowledge of telecommunications and data center: construction, services, and operations
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture preferred
• 5 – 10 years of relevant consulting or industry experience in construction estimating
• Professional certifications (ASPE, AACE or ICEAA) strongly desired
• OSHA 30 safety certification required within 3 months of hire
• Hands‑on construction or field installation experience in IT, telecom, or data center environments is a plus
