Position OverviewThe CDL Equipment Operator – Air Mover / Vacuum Excavation is a hands-on field role responsible for safely operating vacuum trucks and air mover systems to perform precision vacuum soil excavation on environmental remediation, utility exposure, and demolition-related projects.
This position supports projects across Atlanta and the southeastern U.S. Travel is required for select projects, with per diem and lodging provided for out-of-town assignments.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperate air mover vacuum trucks and associated excavation equipment to perform vacuum soil excavation (dry excavation) safely and efficiently.
Perform controlled excavation around utilities, foundations, and sensitive infrastructure.
Safely operate CDL-required vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations.
Assist with site preparation, material handling, and site cleanup activities as needed.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic شخصية التكة .
Follow all OSHA, EPA, DOT, and site-specific safety protocols.
Work collaboratively with site supervisors and crews to ensure project objectives are met safely and on schedule.
Maintain accurate daily logs, inspection reports, and required documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Required:
Valid CDL (Class A or
B) with acceptable driving record.Experience operating vacuum excavation trucks and/or air mover systems.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Preferred:
3+ years of experience in vacuum soil excavation, environmental remediation, or utility exposure work.
Experience on environmental, demolition, or industrial construction sites.
40-Hour Hazwoper Trained
Strong safety awareness and hazard recognition skills.
Dependable, team-oriented work ethic.
Typical schedule:
