Base pay range$40.00/hr - $45.00/hr
We are seeking a dayshift contract Safety Manager to support a large-scale construction project in Atlanta, GA.
The Safety Manager will play a critical role in ensuring a safe work environment, maintaining compliance with all applicable safety regulations, and fostering a strong safety culture across the job site. OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 certifications are required.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily safety operations on an active construction site
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company safety policies, and local regulations
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, documenting findings and corrective actions
- Lead and facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and subcontractors
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports, and implement preventative measures
- Partner with project managers, supervisors, and trade partners to promote and maintain a strong safety culture
- Maintain accurate safety records and compliance documentation
- 5+ years of safety management experience within construction or industrial environments
- OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 certifications required
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- Knowledge of State and Local Codes, CFR 29, 1926, and NFPA 70E
- Experience conducting incident investigations and determining root causes
- Proficient with computers, phones, and standard office equipment
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field preferred (not required)
- Additional certifications such as CSP or CHST are a plus
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment
