About the OpportunityA well-established commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on complex, high-quality projects. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day jobsite execution, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality standards from project start through closeout.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on field leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates effectively with diverse teams, and takes pride in delivering exceptional construction outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, materials, equipment, and inspections
- Enforce jobsite safety standards and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
- Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules and daily activity logs
- Monitor construction progress to ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and timelines
- Coordinate inspections and communicate with project leadership on progress, risks, and constraints
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and daily jobsite check-ins
- Identify scope gaps, sequencing issues, or quality concerns and proactively resolve them
- Verify subcontractor compliance with contract requirements and safety expectations
- Open and secure the jobsite daily and maintain proper site controls
- Collaborate closely with project managers to support budget, schedule, and quality goals
- Perform additional duties as needed to support successful project delivery
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial construction field supervision
- Strong working knowledge of construction sequencing, trades, and jobsite logistics
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals
- Proficiency with common construction technology and software (project management platforms a plus)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working on active jobsites and managing multiple priorities
