Overview
Construction Project Manager role at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a diverse project team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Problem solving and conflict resolution to maintain project progress and relationships.
- Apply knowledge of construction principles and pursue innovation and continuous improvement.
- Possess a Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology or Construction Management/Construction Technology or equivalent experience.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, and on-site management teams.
- Manage financial impacts on site and coordinate subcontract trades; plan, schedule, and coordinate work.
- Interface with owners, architects, engineers, and the on-site management team; handle subcontract award/buy-out, scope writing/definition, and change order presentation & negotiation.
- Prepare schedules, monitor progress, and perform project accounting tasks.
- Leverage scheduling software and tools as part of project delivery.
- 5 to 15 years of industry experience with a track record of delivering complex projects with minimal delays and a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Experience delivering projects on safety and quality priorities.
- Ability to analyze and manage project scope, costs, and timelines.
- Experience with on-site financial management, change orders, and buy-outs.
- Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with clients and design professionals.
- Proven ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate subcontract trades; on-site management experience.
- Salary range information is provided by the company and depends on role, location, experience, and other factors. Base pay may be supplemented by additional compensation and benefits as applicable.
