Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivatedAssistant Project Superintendentto support onsite construction activities forlow-rise, wood frame multifamily projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a leadership position while ensuring schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols are met from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Superintendent in overseeing daily site operations
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain schedule adherence
- Monitor work for quality, safety, and compliance with plans/specs
- Help maintain site documentation, including daily journals, inspections and RFIs
- Support project planning and sequencing of construction activities
- Troubleshoot onsite issues and escalate as needed to the Superintendent
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of the in-house Project Engineer (PE) program; or successful completion of an apprenticeship in trades or a cooperative education service such as BOCES; or a minimum of 5 years equivalent experience in the construction industry, required.
- Experience with low-rise, wood frame multifamily projects, required.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications, required.
- Construction software, preferred.
- Various Field Trade Role knowledge, required.
- Scheduling, design specifications, drawings and documents required.
