Job SummaryThis role supports the Manager of Demand Planning in delivering accurate, on‑time demand plans for the MATI and MIND Divisions. MATI serves the Home Improvement sector with fencing and lawn & garden products; MIND manufactures air compressors and air tools. The position works across S&OP, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Sourcing. The analyst will be based onsite at either Long Grove, IL or Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain monthly forecasts for finished‑goods parts using order and shipment history, customer POS data, market intelligence, and industry trends.
- Work with sales, marketing, and product management to understand product life cycles, demand patterns, and short-, medium-, and long‑term forecasts.
- Develop and maintain forecast accuracy and bias metrics by customer, product family, and SKU.
- Communicate target accuracy and bias, and drive action plans for non‑compliant KPIs.
- Summarize forecast changes and monthly performance variances.
- Schedule, prepare documentation, and moderate bi‑monthly revenue calls with sales leadership.
- Run and maintain statistical forecasts in IBP, analyze and explain variances between statistical forecast, history, and customer forecast.
- Create weekly and monthly POS and inventory reports for key customers.
- Present POS, inventory levels, price points, store counts, and rate of sales observations to multiple levels within the organization.
- Strong analytical ability and aptitude for processing large data sets.
- Experience with demand planning systems and forecasting methodologies (time series, causal modeling, ML).
- Skilled in cross‑functional collaboration, influencing, and communication at all levels.
- Self‑motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and prior ERP experience such as SAP.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Undergraduate degree in operations management, supply chain, engineering, statistics, or a related field. Certifications like Google Data Analytics or Six Sigma are welcomed.
- 2–5 years of supply‑chain planning experience in S&OP, demand, and supply planning.
- CPG and e‑commerce experience a plus.
