As a Staff Product Manager for Mailchimp’s Homepage, you will be responsible for shaping the strategy and execution of Mailchimp’s first impression - the Homepage. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and product management acumen to ensure the Homepage effectively engages both first-time users (FTU) and tenured users. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive key metrics for user engagement, conversion, and retention.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Product Strategy:
Develop and drive the product strategy for Mailchimp’s Homepage to align with overall business goals and user needs. - User
Experience:
Enhance the user experience of the Homepage for both FTU and tenured users. Identify and address pain points through user feedback and data analysis. - Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, design, analytics, and marketing teams to deliver compelling product features and improvements. - KPIs and Metrics:
Define, monitor, and meet key performance indicators (KPIs) pertaining to user engagement, conversion rates, and overall Homepage performance. - Product
Roadmap:
Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap that prioritizes features and enhancements. - Market Research:
Conduct market and user research to stay abreast of trends and competitor strategies. Use insights to inform product decisions. - Experimentation:
Lead A/B testing and other experimentation initiatives to optimize user journeys and interface elements. Analyze results to make data-driven decisions. - Communication:
Clearly articulate product decisions and how they enhance user experiences with stakeholders and leadership. Provide regular updates on progress and efficacy of product initiatives.
- Increase the conversion rate of first-time visitors who become active users.
- Enhance the engagement metrics of tenured users through continuous improvements and new feature additions.
- Achieve targeted milestones in the user onboarding journey and account setup completion rates.
- Successfully run and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to improve user interaction and retention on the Homepage.
- Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus. - Experience:
5+ years of product management experience. Plus for experience managing Homepage or common experiences. - Leadership:
Strong leadership skills with an ability to drive cross-functional teams towards achieving common goals. - Analytical
Skills:
Demonstrated experience in data-driven decision making. Proficiency in analytics tools and methodologies (Amplitude, Optimizely, SQL a plus) - User-Centric:
Passion for understanding user needs and championing an exceptional user experience. - Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Adaptability:
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Bay Area, California: $180,
New York City, New York: $177,
