Regional Business Development Manager– Southeast THE OPPORTUNITY
Regional Business Development Manager drives growth through dealer channel expansion, customer acquisition, and relationship management. This individual is responsible for developing new business opportunities, training dealer partners, and achieving revenue and margin goals within their territory. They represent our partner’s packaging equipment and safety solutions, operating remotely with significant travel for client visits and events.
Key Responsibilities- Prospect, secure, and grow dealer accounts and relationships.
- Promote products and solutions through dealer networks.
- Identify and target regional growth opportunities to meet/exceed revenue goals.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and collaborate with Dealer Account Representatives to close deals.
- Plan and lead dealer trainings, lunch-and-learns, and trade shows.
- Provide enablement tools and sales resources to dealer teams.
- Collaborate with marketing on lead generation and campaigns.
- Partner with product management to relay customer insights.
- Report on KPIs, pipeline health, and revenue forecasts.
- Build C-level relationships within key accounts.
- Monitor market and competitor trends to identify growth opportunities.
- 5+ years of successful new business development and account growth experience (open to 3+ for the right candidate)
- Experience selling through intermediaries (dealers, integrators, distributors)
- Proven record of regional sales strategy execution and measurable performance
- Strong relationship management and closing skills, while also prioritizing training and collaboration
- Comfortable working remotely and managing 40%+ travel
- CRM proficiency and pipeline discipline
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in industrial packaging, material handling, or safety solutions.
- Exposure to dealer enablement, channel marketing, or OEM sales.
- Technical familiarity with packaging systems or warehouse automation.
- Previous experience at a mid-size manufacturer or industrial supplier.
- Need to understand technical jargon & how to sell machinery
- Located near a major metro area for travel efficiency.
