Note: This is a hybrid position (3 days a week in the office) that can sit in Atlanta, Georgia, or Nashville, Tennessee.
Position OverviewOur client is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to build and manage a supply network to serve their industrial and medical customer segments. This role is responsible for managing multiple supply partners across the North Division to build a stable, strategic network for current and future customers. In addition, this role will also identify opportunities to reduce total costs, provide supply continuity, deliver on quality and service expectations, and work with Supply Chain and Business Development departments to build and manage effective and efficient supplier networks.
Responsibilities- Develop and build professional partnership arrangements with suppliers
- Establish formal Service Level Agreements with the supply network
- Assist in the development of procurement strategies and plans together with stakeholders that would reduce total cost and improve availability, quality, service, and innovation.
- Anticipate, negotiate, and execute agreements with suppliers
- Continuously optimize the network through spend reduction and/or value enhancement.
- Conduct market and risk analysis to drive industry strategies.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of all gas suppliers and become the business-wide subject matter expert from both a technical and commercial perspective.
- Own supplier qualification process by collaborating and developing positive relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Obtain data from varied sources to identify and support network optimization opportunities
- Attend off-site supplier tours/audits as needed.
- Assist with after-hours support approximately one week per quarter
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with special or cross-functional projects, tasks, and initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
- 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, procurement, sourcing, or supplier relationship management, preferably within industrial, medical, or regulated environments
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Experience working within Salesforce and Tableau
- Advanced Excel knowledge, working skills on other MS Office components, and technical aptitude to learn applications quickly
- Demonstrated experience building, managing, and optimizing multi-supplier networks across regions or divisions

- Data-driven decision-maker with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources to drive cost, quality, and service improvements.
- Strong supplier relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust, accountability, and long-term partnerships.
- Willingness and ability to travel for supplier audits, site visits, and relationship-building as needed.
- Ability to establish and nourish effective working relationships with customers, managers, supply partners, and fellow teammates.
