Director, National Partnerships at Arthritis Foundation

Position Summary

The Director, National Partnerships is accountable for developing relationships with corporations and industry partners to obtain and increase revenue and engagement. The role involves working with interdepartmental colleagues to develop strategic plans and proposals to achieve account growth, drive new business, and implement a new point‑of‑sale program. Collaboration with Development, Research, Mission, Advocacy, Science, and Marketing teams is essential, as is partnership with regional teams to optimize national sponsor opportunities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Achieve fundraising goals for the corporate revenue line; manage a portfolio generating a minimum of $2,500,000 in revenue annually.
  • Establish a regular cadence for client/prospect cultivation and stewardship, ensuring year‑round engagement at all levels.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Relationship Manager to prepare, review, and sign contracts, fulfill deliverables, and provide recap reports.
  • Maintain the CRM system weekly and update account documentation as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field; minimum five years of sales and strategic account management experience, including selling 6‑plus figure national partnerships.
  • Experience creating sales solutions that integrate advocacy, patient and physician engagement, retail activation, and consumer engagement.
  • Experience selling and implementing national point‑of‑sale programs.
  • Ability to identify, target, and build new business opportunities to maximize fundraising potential.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a drive to develop innovative income strategies.
  • Strong ability to work under multiple deadlines.
  • Sales position with a revenue goal that must be achieved.
  • Travel and weekend assignments required.
