HOW YOU’LL HELP US KEEP CLIMBING (OVERVIEW & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)The Domestic Insights, Performance, and Analysis (IPandA) team is responsible for long-term booking curve planning and Domestic-level strategy execution to maximize revenue. IPandA leverages past and forward performance data to set strategies and tactics for optimal curve management to maximize RASM and profitability. The team works closely with the core Inventory Management (IM) teams and analysts to transition Domestic-level actions while highlighting performance opportunities throughout the booking curve.
IP and A collaborate with cross-Commercial partners, such as Pricing and Network, to ensure an optimal foundation for maximizing revenue.
The Specialist will lead the development of data-driven insights and reporting for the Domestic Inventory team, identifying trends and actionable opportunities. This role requires advanced analytical skills. The Specialist will leverage these skills to develop and maintain automated reporting processes and conduct frequent ad-hoc analyses that will be shared across Revenue Management and cross-commercially.
Primary Functions
- Conduct in-depth analysis of historical performance, network changes, and competitive dynamics to inform seasonal strategy
- Develop and execute strategies outside the core booking window, while monitoring close-in performance for revenue opportunities
- Create executive-level presentations to communicate forward-looking revenue performance and strategic recommendations.
- Act as the primary liaison between Inventory Management and Network Planning to align capacity with demand
- Collaborate with Pricing and Network Planning to identify new revenue opportunities and optimize existing strategies
- Build and maintain automated reporting tools and dashboards to support strategic decision-making
- At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a commercial airline or similar environment
- Proficiency of airline economics concepts, including seat allocation, overbooking, and revenue optimization
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to create compelling data-driven presentations
- Experience querying large datasets using SAS, Teradata, or similar tools to create datasets that can then be analyzed in Excel or similar tools Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to distill complex business topics into a cohesive story using metrics and data
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with experience mentoring or leading peers
- Detail-oriented and deadline-focused, with the ability to independently manage numerous responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Engineering, etc.)
- Planning
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and dashboard development
- Familiarity with Delta and industry data sources (OAG, FPS, RPAD, DDS, T100, O&D Survey)
- Advanced SQL skills (e.g., CTEs, subqueries, complex joins)
- Experience in creating presentations for senior executives
