The Tech Ops Supply Chain Management team is seeking an experienced professional to join as a Sourcing Manager, responsible for the strategic sourcing and supplier performance management of key Delta Tech Ops suppliers. The role supports the development of commodity sourcing strategies, sourcing initiatives, risk management, and Delta-partner initiatives. It is integral to delivering year-over-year savings using strategic sourcing processes and a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach, and to managing supplier performance through scorecard reviews, performance improvement plans, and support of operationally critical supplier requirements.
Summaryof Responsibilities (not Comprehensive of All Tasks)
- Assists in the execution of sourcing strategies, including RFPs, supplier selection, and negotiation of commercial terms for contracts.
- Manages regular supplier performance scorecard reviews and performance improvement plans/actions.
- Jointly develops performance improvement plans and tracks progress, ensuring consistent performance improvements by the supplier.
- Manages the contract implementation process with business partners to ensure contract compliance and value capture; supports the CAP evaluation process and implementation of key findings.
- Works closely with the warranty/entitlements team to support warranty claims.
- Negotiates and executes appropriate contracts, SOWs, amendments, and NDAs.
- Utilizes best practices throughout the strategic sourcing process: bid development and management, proposal analysis, supplier risk assessment, business case creation, commercial term negotiations, and contract writing.
- Manages and tracks internal contract compliance for managed commodities.
- Maintains strong working relationships cross‑divisionally with peers and collaborates on strategic initiatives to meet operational and commercial objectives critical to Delta’s fleet development, modification, and upkeep.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- 1–3 years of Supply Chain Management or related maintenance/operational field experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- High‑quality presentation and communication skills, value‑based decision analysis, financial modeling, and consensus building.
- Ability to manage interactions with others, build value‑based relationships, and exert personal influence.
- Demonstrated flexibility with demanding work hours and occasional travel.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (required).
- At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
- Experience applying the Strategic Sourcing Process.
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Deep knowledge of SAP transactions, reports, and available data.
