Job Description

As a Director of Business Development with The Powers Company, you will contribute significantly to a rapidly growing company and be compensated accordingly. The ideal candidate will have a proven success record in phone-based sales, lead generation, appointment setting, and sales pipeline development. Successful candidates will be able to conduct value-oriented conversations with executives, often cold calls, and develop long-term relationships through positive rapport and consistent follow-up.

The role involves managing multiple accounts across various industries, maintaining data and contact information efficiently, and engaging with executives, recording interactions in the system. Experience with  or similar CRM systems is beneficial.

The position also includes developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans to increase revenue and profits, aligning with the organization’s mission and values.

Essential Functions
  • Proven success in reaching out to C-Level and VP-level executives at mid-market and Fortune 500 companies.
  • Implement strategic marketing recommendations.
  • Perform market research and analysis.
  • Provide marketing advice and support across departments.
  • Evaluate operational issues for competitiveness and industry trends.
  • Identify new market segments and develop marketing campaigns, including budgeting.
  • Create marketing materials such as brochures and electronic ads.
  • Support organizational mission, values, policies, and confidentiality standards.
  • Assist in planning events and gathering feedback from stakeholders.
  • Engage in public speaking engagements related to PR, marketing, and development.
  • Manage marketing budgets.
Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, Lean Six Sigma, and results-based consulting.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Financial management knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership partnership ability.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
Additional Details

This is not a supervisory role. Physical demands include lifting up to 25 lbs. and clear communication on the phone. A BA/BS in business, marketing, or related field is required. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with potential long hours, occasional travel, and benefits including health coverage, PTO, and holidays.
