Senior Business Banker - Atlanta

Overview

The Senior Business Banker drives growth and profitability by generating new deposits, business loans, treasury management services, and other revenue streams. They focus on building relationships with businesses in the $2mm–$20mm space in their assigned market.

• Proactively generate new business by prospecting for deposits, lending, treasury management, merchant services and other banking solutions.
• Meet with prospects to bring in new relationships, develop strong COI relationships in your market, and close new business opportunities to grow the bank’s client base and revenue.
• Build and maintain a robust network of centers of influence (COI’s), including CPAs, attorneys, commercial real estate agents, and other professionals, to drive referrals and business growth.
• Retain and manage clients within your portfolio, deepening relationships and cross‑selling additional products and services.
• Collaborate with the Business Banking Client Service team to deliver exceptional service and ensure a seamless banking experience for all clients.
• Maintain a strong understanding of Capital One’s credit policy, ensuring compliance while effectively evaluating and mitigating risk.

• Proven experience in business development with a strong track record of generating and closing new business through prospecting.
• Established network of centers of influence and demonstrated ability to grow this network through active engagement and networking events.
• Strong business development skills with the ability to build trust with prospects, clients, and professional partners.
• Expertise in deposit acquisition, treasury management, credit solutions, and other banking products.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

• At least 2 years of Business Banking experience.

• At least 5 years of Business Banking experience.
• Formal credit training.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries are solely for candidates hired in the listed locations.

• Atlanta, GA: $149,000 - $170,000 for Sr. Business Banker

This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
