About the role:

LRN is seeking a high‑performing Senior Director, Business Intelligence and Data. This is a dynamic and multifaceted role critical in supporting LRN’s growth. Reporting directly to the CFO and collaborating closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams, this position will be responsible for establishing and building LRN’s Business Intelligence and Data function to enable data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.

The role encompasses (1) pulling data from multiple platforms to create a comprehensive view of business performance, (2) leveraging data and AI‑driven tools to conduct predictive analytics that inform strategic decisions and ongoing operations, inclusive of sales forecasting and customer retention, and (3) presenting actionable insights to diverse audiences, including the board of directors.

What you’ll do:
  • Central Data Authority:
    Act as the primary authority for data integrity, ensuring reliable, accurate, and up-to-date information for decision‑making across departments.
  • Lead Predictive Analytics Initiatives:
    Develop and implement predictive models using AI and machine learning to forecast trends, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks that inform business planning, sales forecasting, and strategic decision‑making.
  • AI Integration:
    Leverage AI tools and platforms to enhance data analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and uncover deeper insights, improving efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting:
    Create compelling, audience‑tailored data visualizations and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, and AI‑enhanced visualization tools (e.g. Domo, Tableau, or Power BI) to communicate insights to stakeholders, including the board, leadership team, and cross‑functional partners.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to align data‑driven and AI‑enhanced insights with business objectives, demonstrating a deep understanding of LRN’s business model and strategic goals to drive efficiency and growth. Such insights will lead to improvements in forecasting sales, customer retention and more.
  • Process Optimization:
    Identify and implement improvements in data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, utilizing AI to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Business Insight Development:
    Deeply analyze business operations, client needs, and market trends to provide actionable recommendations that align with LRN’s mission and growth objectives in the ethics and compliance space.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Support:
    Support potential M&A activities to ensure data‑driven decision‑making about the target’s business.
  • Data Extraction and Analysis:
    Understand how to extract, clean, and analyze data from various platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
