Job Overview

This role is required to work in office at the location listed on the requisition. As the Leader, you will drive ongoing benchmarking of deposit products and services against peer banks, leveraging industry data and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and differentiation for the consumer deposit team.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Competitive Product Reviews:
    Conduct thorough reviews of existing and emerging deposit products to ensure offerings meet or exceed market standards. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to recommend enhancements and new product features.
  • Industry Insights:
    Monitor and analyze industry trends, regulatory changes, earnings reports, and public releases to inform product strategy and maintain market leadership. Present actionable insights to senior leadership to guide decision‑making.
  • Vendor Management:
    Oversee relationships with third‑party vendors, including risk management, service‑level agreement (SLA) validation, and contract negotiation. Ensure all partnerships support strategic goals and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Internal Performance Monitoring:
    Develop and maintain performance tracking systems for deposit products, using data‑driven metrics to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations and reports for the consumer deposits team and senior stakeholders.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related major with a strong academic record, or equivalent education and related training
  • 7+ years of work experience within Banking or Financial Services
  • 2+ years of experience in a staff role such as product management, product strategy, analytics or marketing
  • Strong influencing, partnership‑building and collaboration skills with proven ability to drive cross‑functional projects to completion
  • Strong analytical and creative problem‑solving skills – ability to generate actionable insight and recommendations based on analytics
  • Demonstrated success working within and leading cross‑functional teams without formal authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to succinctly and clearly convey conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities within a fast‑paced, results‑oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, and to take initiative and adapt to new responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to follow risk management guidelines and procedures and to identify and escalates risks. Ability to work effectively with risk partners
  • Ability to interact with third‑party vendors on ongoing monitoring and partnership activities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree
  • 5+ years combined experience in consumer banking, small business banking, debit, or payments
  • Previous experience in marketing, finance, acquisitions, product development and analytics
  • Understanding and experience with client interaction and client management. Experience working in a branch or client contact center
  • Experience in the Product Management lifecycle including idea generation, developing, implementing and managing products and services
  • Experience working with data analytics partners
  • Project Management experience
Benefits

All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
