The Product Manager owns the planning and execution of assigned product lines through the full product lifecycle. Responsible for leading projects through the Stage Gate process
, gathering and prioritizing requirements, and ensuring alignment with RWC’s strategic goals. The Product Manager partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance to achieve revenue, growth, and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Develop and execute product and category strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead all assigned projects through the Stage Gate process
, from concept to commercialization. - Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Manage new product development (NPD), product changes, and discontinuations.
- Define and maintain product data within SAP.
- Provide direction and insight for marketing collateral, pricing, and launch materials.
- Act as the cross-functional leader for assigned projects, ensuring milestone completion and quality.
- Support field visits and customer interactions to gather Voice of Customer (VOC).
- Education
:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience; MBA is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a product manager role in a fast paced and high-SKU environment.
- Experience in the Plumbing, construction materials, and Building Industry are preferred.
- Must have collaborative abilities, teamwork, and inter-departmental communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create buy-in for the product category vision with key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Ability to lead multiple projects, as well as be able to diagnose, understand and solve complex issues.
- Excellent organization skills, priority setting, and time management skills, ensuring project deadlines are achieved.
- Ability to adapt to change in a quickly evolving company and marketplace so that positive results are achieved.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships.
- Strong data collection and analytical skills are critical for successful performance.
- Strong listening and diagnostic skills.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, especially an in-depth knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- An understanding of SAP, Sales Reporting (Tableau, Phocas), Stage Gate Process, Project Management.
- 30%-35% Travel (end user and customer visits, industry events and trade shows, visiting other RWC facilities, etc.).
- Need to safely perform all duties.
This position will be an in-office environment with some travel required.
Physical DemandsJob requires both sitting and standing. Excellent vision, hearing, speech, and motor skills are required to perform essential functions of the job.
