Job Description – Business Services Coordinator I/II – Atlanta, TX (2600202)
TxDOT’s Atlanta District is looking for a Business Services Coordinator I or II based in Atlanta, TX. This role requires frequent communication and coordination with governmental agencies, private sector partners, and internal leadership to ensure smooth internal operations and effective coordination across multiple service areas. We are seeking a highly skilled, self‑directed professional to oversee and manage a variety of administrative and operational support functions.
SalaryRange
- Business Services Coordinator I (B21): $54,278–$87,046 per year
- Business Services Coordinator II (B23): $61,184–$99,658 per year

Responsibilities- Oversee, plan, and coordinate administrative and management services across areas such as budget, accounting, legislative analysis, office support, equipment, facilities, purchasing, and contract administration.
- Coordinate and monitor contract administration, asset management, and related programs.
- Plan district budget needs utilizing program analysis.
- Forecast short and long‑term projections, including support from multiple funding sources, and recommend priorities and future goal planning.
- Coordinate administrative services for asset management, central files, facilities, grounds, and open records request program.
- Implement and interpret administrative policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper administration and disposition of district/division records.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year‑per‑year basis.
- Experience: Business Services Coordinator I: 4 years of management, business operations, and administration or staff support functions;
Business Services Coordinator II: 5 years of the same. (Experience can be satisfied by full‑time or prorated part‑time equivalent). Related graduate‑level education may substituted for experience on a year‑per‑year basis. - Licenses and
Certifications:
Valid driver’s license. This position driving a state vehicle.

- Establishing plans and setting objectives and goals that support overall business strategy/results; anticipating and adjusting for problems/roadblocks
- Monitoring the status and progress of projects
- Collaborates and cooperates with others and builds effective working relationships with internal and external members to accomplish organizational goals.
• Sedentary work:
Lift up to 10 lbs at a time and occasionally carry files/small tools.
• Repetitive motion – substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Workplace may require occasional travel (5 % of the time) and working on a day shift schedule. Onsite location.
