Accountant, Financial Reporting, Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to lead and improve our month-end close and general ledger (GL) processes. This role will play a critical part in accelerating the close timeline by leveraging systems, automation, and process improvements. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on systems experience, and a track record of enhancing reporting accuracy and efficiency.

• Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Own and improve general ledger accuracy, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to shorten close timelines and enhance reporting quality.
• Review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

• Evaluate and enhance accounting workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Leverage ERP and financial systems to automate reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Partner cross-functionally to implement best practices and scalable processes.
• Identify opportunities for system integrations and reporting improvements.

• Utilize and optimize accounting platforms such as Sage Intacct, , and Quick Books.
• Support system upgrades, implementations, and integrations.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to improve financial visibility.

• Prepare and support audit schedules and documentation for external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Support regulatory filings and reporting requirements as applicable.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proven experience leading month-end close in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, , and/or Quick Books.
• Experience supporting audits and regulatory reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
