Senior Accountant (Remote – Monthly Onsite in North Georgia)
We are partnering with a global, multi-entity manufacturing company to identify a strong Senior Accountant to join their Accounting Center of Excellence. This company generates approximately $4B in revenue and is experiencing continued growth following a recent acquisition.
This is a fully remote role
, with a preference for candidates who can attend in-office meetings once per month in North Georgia.
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in leading key aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across multiple entities in the Americas region. This individual will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and internal policies, while supporting ERP integration, post-acquisition alignment, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead assigned areas of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Prepare and review complex journal entries (revenue recognition, intercompany, inventory, accruals, leases, manufacturing-related accounting)
- Perform and review account reconciliations with proper documentation
- Investigate and resolve variances and reconciling items
- Support consolidated reporting submissions
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Own and execute key SOX controls, including documentation and evidence retention
- Partner with internal and external auditors
- Identify control gaps and support remediation efforts
- Maintain and enhance process documentation and SOPs
- Work across ERP environments (SAP or similar systems preferred)
- Support system transitions and automation initiatives
- Partner with IT and Finance to resolve reporting inconsistencies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Operations
- Support balance sheet reviews and technical accounting matters
- Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize close processes
- Support special projects and post-merger integration initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA preferred
- 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- SOX compliance experience required
- Revenue accounting experience strongly preferred
- ERP experience (SAP or similar)
- Public accounting experience is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Fully remote with monthly onsite preference (North Georgia)
