The Accounting intern will be primarily responsible for supporting a variety of department projects in Atlanta, GA this summer.
In close collaboration with the Revenue & Receivables accountants, the intern will provide support with monthly accounting journal entries and processes, booking donations and club dues, recording bank deposits, organizing records, assisting with ad hoc requests, and supporting team meetings with management
INTERNSHIP TIMELINE: Must be available from June 2
- August 5, 2026
LOCATION: Office-based in Atlanta, GA (hybrid model - 3 days remote / 2 days in office
- Tuesday & Wednesday)
COMPENSATION: 17.00/hr (Up to 20-40hrs/wk)
What you will be learning:
- Understanding the inner workings of a large non-profit
- Nonprofit-specific accounting (revenue recognition, funds, timing principles)
- How to support and manage multiple projects through organization and efficiency
- The monthly cycle of nonprofit accounting
- How to effectively communicate accounting topics to non-accounting teammates
- How to work with senior leadership
- How to collaborate within a team and across the organization
What you will be doing:
- The intern will support the Revenue & Receivables team with accounting work and projects. The intern will have the opportunity to network with other teams across the organization.

Education/Major: Pursuing an accountancy degree with the desire to become a Certified Public Accountant.
Skills: Applicants should demonstrate interest in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and an accounting career. This position requires basic knowledge of accounting principles; experience using Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel; a track record of reliability, strong teamwork, and attention to detail; excellent analytic, verbal and written communication skills; and ability to manage time appropriately.
