Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Atlanta, GA (On-Site) - Roswell/Sandy Springs Area
Salary: $50K - $60K (Negotiable/Flexible) DOE

Our client is one of the most influential personal injury law firms in America. They are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the team.

Position Summary: The A/P Specialist will be responsible for managing AP transactions, vendor and client payments, trust and settlement accounting, daily deposits, and reconciliations, while collaborating closely with the accounting team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
    • Assist Accounting Manager with the day-to-day AP transactions
    • Review vendor invoices/bills for accuracy prior to processing and posting
    • Processing checks for Vendors, Clients and Providers
    • Assist the Accounting Team and become the backup for Settlement rotation tasks
    • Assist preparing and maintaining the daily deposits on spreadsheet
    • Assist in processing client settlement checks and electronic payments
    • Properly maintain and reconcile Client Trust accounts
Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, preferred or associate's degree in accounting with 3+ years of practical experience as an Accounts Payable Staff/Clerk or 5+ years of AP experience preferably in a personal injury law office
    • Familiarity with IOLTA and experience in a personal injury law firm, preferred
    • Experienced in using accounting software: QB Desktop and/or QB Online
    • Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Experience using Filevine or similar law related database software
