Position: Manager, Inspire Company Restaurant Accounting

The Accounting Manager provides leadership of the ICR Accounting team’s operational accounting function by ensuring complete, accurate, and timely close, internal and external reporting and controls. This role will ensure transactions are in compliance with US GAAP. This role will support the vision for the broader ICR Accounting team by managing the company-owned store operational close and reporting for all owned company locations (~2,300 in total).

The role will partner with various commercial and operations teams, creating efficiency, automation, and standardization. This leader will be viewed as a subject matter expert and will support the overall initiatives of One Inspire Finance. This position will help ensure that general operational accounting policies are executed and documented, along with appropriate governance, controls, and segregation of duties. The successful candidate will be action-oriented with a blend of both technical and operational accounting experience and will seek to build strong relationships with and deliver superior service to key stakeholders.

This leader will support execution on the ability to scale through people, processes, and technology, with synergies. This position sits within our Atlanta based Global Support Center with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end company-owned store accounting month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L review, and support of financial results communicated to the operations teams.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of goals, priorities, technical accounting policies, and standards and ensure consistent compliance.
  • Provide oversight in managing, monitoring, and streamlining of the monthly and quarterly close process to ensure the process is efficient and effective in providing accurate and timely financial information and related reports.
  • Communicate effectively across the organization regarding business and accounting issues, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate accounting in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Coordinate and deliver accelerated month-end close processes. Assist leadership in identifying and implementing inter and intra-department process improvements and enhancements.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team where inclusion and diversity are leveraged for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Develop a culture of collaboration, training, and success.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement within and among other departments concerning the accuracy of all transactions entered into the general ledger and information provided to Management.
  • Support the department and the broader business by establishing strong working relationships with the FP&A team and assist in flux explanations and reviewing trends in operational results.
  • Assist in the interim and annual audit process with internal and external auditors by preparing and reviewing audit deliverables and financial statement disclosure support.
  • Partner with finance leadership on ad hoc projects and analysis as required.
Education and Experience Qualifications
  • 4-year Degree in Accounting required.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred.
  • 6+ years of total experience, minimum.
  • 2+ years of experience managing direct reports.
  • 2 – 4 years of Big 4 Accounting or similar experience.
  • ERP financial systems experience preferred.
  • Experience in a public company and technical accounting expertise preferred.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities
    • Ability to plan work effectively, supervise and coordinate the work of senior and staff accountants, meet the deadlines assigned, and make sound decisions.
    • Self-sufficient and dependable, with a strong ability to multi-task and shift priorities.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, fast-growing company environment where adaptability is imperative.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – including but not limited to, pivot tables, lookup, and complex formulas.
    • Must be able to work in Outlook, Excel, and Word in a Windows environment.
