Overview

Location: Atlanta, GA (On-Site) - Roswell/Sandy Springs Area

Salary: $50K - $60K (Negotiable/Flexible) DOE

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Our client is one of the most influential personal injury law firms in America. They are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the team.

Position Summary

The A/P Specialist will be responsible for managing AP transactions, vendor and client payments, trust and settlement accounting, daily deposits, and reconciliations, while collaborating closely with the accounting team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Accounting Manager with the day-to-day AP transactions
  • Review vendor invoices/bills for accuracy prior to processing and posting
  • Processing checks for Vendors, Clients and Providers
  • Assist the Accounting Team and become the backup for Settlement rotation tasks
  • Assist preparing and maintaining the daily deposits on spreadsheet
  • Assist in processing client settlement checks and electronic payments
  • Properly maintain and reconcile Client Trust accounts
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, preferred or associate’s degree in accounting with 3+ years of practical experience as an Accounts Payable Staff/Clerk or 5+ years of AP experience preferably in a personal injury law office
  • Familiarity with IOLTA and experience in a personal injury law firm, preferred
  • Experienced in using accounting software: QB Desktop and/or QB Online
  • Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience using Filevine or similar law related database software
