Production Staff Accountant

Job Description

Accountants One has a company in the Midtown Atlanta area, near Top Golf, that is looking for an Assistant Production Accountant to cover for maternity leave. They are looking for someone who wants to work for a fun and upcoming company in the entertainment industry. They are working on a hybrid schedule of being in the office on Wednesday and Thursday 9:30 to 5:30.

Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, they can work remotely. This person will report to the Corporate Controller and Assistant Controller. They will be responsible for all financial aspects of production accounting, cost tracking, expense reports, financial reporting, and reconciliations. Help prepare for the audit.

Responsibilities:

• Generate company production invoices and record networking funding
• Process the production accounts payable, entering it into the system, running aging reports, processing checks, reviewing, approving, and costing the digital bills and check requests
• Work with the managers in production to provide detailed weekly cost reporting and cash flow projections for each project
• Record the adjusting journal entries
• Manage the prepaid credit card activity
• Filing

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred. Minimum 2 years of accounting experience. Production accounting experience in the Entertainment industry is preferred but not required.
• Must be extremely detail-oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple productions/projects.
• Understanding of how to prioritize and respond to issues accordingly with little to no supervision.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting principles and maintain confidential information in a secure and discreet manner.
• Proven proficiency working within Quick Books and Excel.
• Excellent PC management skills.
