Carpool is a logistics tech platform for shipping cars. As e-commerce grows, our digital platform connects vehicle shippers with auto haulers. Our platform enables multiple clients to share space on one truck, lowering cost and emissions. Clients include car manufacturers, auto dealers, online car sales platforms, and ride-hailing companies.

You’re a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to join a growing startup at the ground floor. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our accounting operations run smoothly and accurately. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing structure with variety and who is eager to collaborate across teams. You’ll be based in the heart of Atlanta Tech Village.

Carpool is looking for a Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions and support our operations. This is a new role that will help build out foundational processes within the accounting department. You’ll handle day-to-day accounting activities while also identifying opportunities to strengthen workflows, improve accuracy, and scale with our growth. You will wear multiple hats beyond the core responsibilities and gain broad exposure to building and running a business.

• Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure general ledger accuracy
• Own the accounting side of claims by partnering with the claims team to record, reconcile, and report claim-related transactions
• Assist invoicing workflows for key customers, including running reports, performing reconciliations, and maintaining documentation
• Assist with month-end close processes
• Reconcile various balance sheet accounts
• Support the collections process, including aging analysis, escalation, and customer outreach
• Serve as a key accounting point-of-contact for other departments, helping answer financial questions and resolve cross-functional issues
• Support Controller with audits, ad hoc projects, and reporting requests as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2-5 years of accounting experience
• Net Suite experience preferred
• Proficient in Excel
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to thrive under deadlines, multi-task, and work with a sense of urgency
• Creative problem-solving, detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
