Staff Accountant

Location: Sandy Springs, GA (Fully On‑Site)
Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 annually, depending on experience

Position Overview

The Staff Accountant will support the accounting and payroll needs for a portfolio of assigned clients. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing general ledger activity, and ensuring payroll accuracy while adhering to structured workflows and best practices. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain books and records for small business clients in support of tax preparation.
  • Review and manage payroll setup, payroll entries, and payroll accuracy across assigned accounts.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger activity using Quick Books Online and established accounting checklists.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in client financial records.
  • Utilize spreadsheets, Excel tools, and AI‑supported applications to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Follow defined workflows and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across all client accounts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Proficiency with Quick Books Online and Desktop.
  • Strong Excel skills required, including experience working with spreadsheets for analysis and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively.
