Our client in Atlanta is seeking a part-time Accountant. 20-25 hours per week
Responsibilities- Cash Management: Deposit daily cash/checks, record all customer payments and credit card transactions
- Transaction Processing: SET UP & Accurately record all business income, expenses, and vendor payments into accounting software (Quick Books).
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage incoming invoices, process vendor payments, send customer invoices, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily/weekly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and accurate.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare essential monthly/quarterly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for the owner.
- Month-End Close: Support the monthly closing process, including journal entries and account analysis.
- Tax Preparation Support: Organize records and assist with preparing documents for tax filings.
- Financial Analysis & Advice: Analyze financial data to identify trends, highlight cost-saving opportunities, manage cash flow, and advise the owner on financial decisions.
- 3-5 years+ accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAPP and Tax laws
- Experience working for a small business that has scaled up
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
- Must have experience with Quick Books and Excel
