We are seeking a Staff Accountant on behalf of a long-established wealth management and tax advisory client. This firm has been in business for over 30 years and provides accounting and tax preparation services to their clients across the country. Due to continued growth, they are adding a Staff Accountant to their team to support full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll activity review, and tax preparation work.

The Staff Accountant will manage a portfolio of clients and ensure that each client’s books and records are accurate, complete, and ready for tax preparation. This position requires recent, hands-on accounting experience and strong Quick Books Desktop and Online proficiency.
Primary Responsibilities- Prepare books and records for tax preparation for small business clients
- Review and manage payroll setup, payroll entries, and payroll accuracy
- Maintain accurate general ledger activity using Quick Books Online and established checklists
- Identify discrepancies in client financials and resolve accounting issues
- Utilize spreadsheets and AI-supported tools
- Adhere to structured workflows to ensure consistency across clients

Bookkeeping and general ledger work - 20%:

Client support and checklist-driven work
- Current, hands-on bookkeeping or staff accounting experience
- Strong Quick Books Online proficiency
- Solid understanding of debits, credits, and accounting fundamentals
- Ability to follow processes and checklists consistently
- Strong attention to detail and reliability

Compensation & Benefits- Starting base salary of $80,000+ depending on level of experience
