Accounting Manager​/Controller

Overview

We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing, consumer-focused operating company for a Controller/Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting operations and serve as a key partner to the CFO and executive leadership team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a strong accounting professional who enjoys building scalable processes, driving accuracy in a high-transaction environment, and translating financial data into business insight.

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, reserves, and balance sheet integrity
• Lead and develop a small accounting team while maintaining hands-on involvement
• Partner with department leaders to review financial performance, risks, and opportunities
• Manage inventory accounting, warehouse reconciliations, and cycle count processes
• Oversee accounts payable, vendor payments, ACH initiatives, and 1099 reporting
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and reconciliation across multiple sales channels and systems
• Lead external audits and serve as primary contact for auditors and other external partners
• Own internal controls framework and support ongoing policy development and compliance
• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred, not required)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and operational finance
• ERP experience required (Net Suite strongly preferred)
• Highly detail-oriented with strong leadership and communication skills
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
