Accountant, Financial Reporting

About the Role:

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented and driven Accountant to join our
Finance/Accounting team. Ideally this candidate will have a strong background in
accounting and a great deal of experience with data. We are looking for candidates with
excellent organizational skills that can manage multiple tasks efficiently. In this role, you
will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Manage transaction activity of the business
• Help manage and process A/P and A/R
• Record day-to-day financial transactions (e.g., expenses)
• Work with the team on month-end close responsibilities
• Help with revenue and expense accruals
• Maintain and update the general ledger
• Help prepare month-end management reporting
• Gather, analyze and present data to support decision-making processes with in the organization
• Present findings and insights in a clear and concise manner
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reporting and other month-end close activities
• Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
• Create visually compelling dashboards, reports and visualization of data
• Provide insights into financial trends and variances
• Assist with tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets
• Identify areas for cost reduction, revenue improvement and overall financial performance improvement

Qualifications:

• A strong background in accounting and a great deal of experience with data and great attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills that can manage multiple tasks efficiently
• A degree in Accounting; prefer experience in operational Accounting roles or Big 4 public Accounting
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Xero)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven and able to prioritize tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Experience with GAAP or IFRS accounting standards
• Experience with data platforms (e.g.,  , JIRA, Tableau, etc.)
• Knowledge of social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
