RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Adult

Job Details:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required

• 1 year med-surge experience preferred

• Previous telemetry experience preferred

• Skilled nursing experience preferred

• Current MA RN License required

• ACLS upon hire OR must hold an active BLS card and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire

• Basic Dysrhythmia Course completion within 6 months of hire if no telemetry experience

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient care plans

• Provide patient care based on established standards, protocols, and procedures

• Administer medications and intravenous therapy according to physician orders

• Perform pain assessments using numerical pain scale and document patient responses

• Complete medication reconciliation documentation for attending physicians

• Perform pre-admission testing and nursing assessments for Med/Surg patients

• Coordinate ancillary testing for day surgery patients including blood draws and EKGs

• Review pre-operative orders and communicate with surgeons and anesthesiologists

• Provide patient and family teaching based on identified learning needs

• Maintain thorough, timely, and accurate documentation of patient care

• Physical requirements include lifting 20-50 pounds occasionally and frequent reaching and handling
