** - Join a dynamic team as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse!

- Shift: 7p-7a
- Work Schedule:

Every 3rd holiday; weekends: every other weekend, sometimes every 3rd weekend (based on department need)

* Essential Functions:

** - Interact with everyone in a friendly, courteous, and respectful manner - Offer assistance; if unable, find someone who can help - Ensure privacy and confidentiality for all - Maintain a clean and safe hospital environment - Respond immediately to emergency situations - Foster a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff - Ensure compliance with regulations for accreditation and licensure - Follow Hospital Attendance and Tardiness Policy - Complete all mandatory training and requirements annually - Report incidents promptly and effectively - Engage in and enforce hand hygiene practices - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient goals - Provide patient care based on established standards and protocols - Respect each patient's individuality and promote their dignity - Teach patients and families based on their learning needs - Collaborate to prepare patients/families for discharge - Delegate and supervise nursing interventions performed by others - Prioritize patient care and seek assistance when necessary - Document all relevant data, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly - Provide timely and accurate reports to health care team members - Encourage learning for colleagues and self - Identify and report risks to patient safety - Address ethical issues in care - Safely administer medications and intravenous therapy - Assess and document patient pain levels and responses - Conduct pre-admission testing for Med/Surg patients - Perform nursing assessments and coordinate testing for day surgery patients - Communicate abnormal test results to relevant staff - Verify completeness of preoperative charts - Offer emotional support to patients undergoing surgery - Initiate post-operative phone calls to Med/Surg patients

** - Exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally - Regularly reach, handle, and feel objects - Occasionally stoop and kneel

* Job Requirements:

- Minimum Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum Experience:

- 1 year med-surge experience preferred - Previous telemetry experience preferred - Skilled nursing experience preferred
- Certifications:

- Current MA RN License - ACLS upon hire or active BLS card with AHA ACLS within 60 days
