Job Summary
To support individuals in attaining the highest quality of life while maintaining their safety across all settings.
ScheduleMonday 7am-3pm, Thursday 3pm-11pm, Friday 3pm-11pm, Saturday 3pm-11pm.
ResponsibilitiesImplement Positive Behavior Supports (PBS), report any significant issues using the on-call hierarchy, implements and follows individuals’ Behavior Skills Plans, implements and follows EO509 Dining Guidelines, participates in and completed licensing and certification paperwork (daily planners, monthly menus, house meetings, budgeting, medical appointments, etc.), follows and implements individuals’ daily schedules, enhances an individual’s development by providing job coaching, maintains appropriate and professional boundaries with the individuals, involves individuals in social and vocational opportunities, promotes a high quality of living for the individuals (assisting with showers, toileting, brushing teeth, laundry, etc.),
able to support and accompany individuals in the community (religious services, hospitals, correctional facilities, courts, support groups, etc.), records accurate and quality data on each individual throughout the shift using ICentrixs, provides supervision of the individuals and ensures their safety in the residence and community, promotes a high quality of living that includes routine maintenance/housekeeping (shoveling, mopping, cleaning appliances, etc.),
provides transportation (company vehicle or personal vehicle) for individuals following the GPS guidelines, performs verbal or physical interventions as needed to ensure safety, conducts physical restraints as needed, maintains HIPAA, confidentiality and cyber security, maintains extended standing, sitting, running and lifting as needed to ensure safety.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to accept constructive criticism, handle intimate and personal issues with tact and discretion, work in a team, remain awake and alert during shift, flexibility to work at different locations and shifts, manage threatening and assaultive situations calmly, act appropriately in emergencies, basic computer skills (email, databases, internet, copy, scan, fax).
Required Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, PABC (physical restraints), CPR/First Aid, MAP, DDS licensing and certification required training.
Preferred Education & Experience1 year of residential experience, heavy travel—once or more a week.
