We’re looking for an enthusiastic Casual Kitchen Porter to join our dedicated catering team at Twycross Zoo. As a Casual Kitchen Porter, you will contribute to a passionate and friendly team working in a fast‑paced environment to maintain the kitchen areas to the highest levels of cleanliness. • Maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchens and associated working areas
• Ensuring all pots, pans, utensils and crockery are cleaned to the highest standard
• Deep cleaning fridges, ovens and storerooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards

• Working with and taking direction from the chefs

• Assisting with basic food preparation
• Transporting food and equipment between the on‑site kitchens and storage areas
• Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment

• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
ommoncompliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

• Passionate about working in a food service environment
• Able to work positively with others as part of a team
• The ability to remain calm during high‑volume periods
• Friendly, helpful & polite
• Able to prioritise and work under pressure
• Must be able to maintain standards and follow procedures
• Awareness of manual handling techniques
• Experience of using kitchen equipment
• Experience of working in a similar role
• Have a besteden approach to working
