Critical Care Nurse in Athens, TX

A contract position is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with ICU experience to provide exceptional care in a critical care environment. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care during night shifts in a fast-paced ICU unit.

Location: Athens, TX

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (19:30 - 07:00)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU with a 1:2 patient ratio across 10 rooms.
• Utilize Epic electronic health records for accurate and timely charting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions continuously, interpret data, and promptly respond to changes.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and protocols.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred.
• Travel nursing experience is required.
• Proficiency in Epic charting system.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, with TNCC preferred.
• Ability to work effectively during night shifts.
