Job SummaryThe Inspector Packer I is responsible for assisting with basic inspection, packaging, and labeling of products under close supervision. This role follows detailed instructions and documented procedures to ensure products meet quality standards. The Inspector Packer I works alongside team members, learns processes, and flags problems to a supervisor or lead when identified.
Job Responsibilities- Perform basic product inspection following documented procedures and work instructions; record results as directed.
- Assist with packaging products according to specifications, ensuring proper sealing and labeling.
- Follow clear, step-by-step instructions for secondary operations and rework tasks as assigned.
- Build and tape boxes, operate basic material handling tools (e.g., pallet jacks) with supervision.
- Maintain simple production and training records as instructed.
- Communicate with supervisor or lead about any issues or questions during the shift.
- Report any quality or safety concerns promptly.
- Follow housekeeping and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines to keep the work area clean and safe.
- Support the team by performing other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma (HSD) or GED – preferred but not required.
- Training in Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) – provided on the job.
- Basic communication skills; ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from others.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Prior manufacturing or production experience not required.
