Job Description

The Calibration Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining a variety of instruments and equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain Calibration Log
  • Perform calibrations per Calibration Procedures
  • Perform calibrations per Calibration Master Log / Schedule
  • Coordinate calibrations with Production and Engineering Departments as needed
  • Document calibrations and prepare calibration reports, as required
  • Schedule outside calibration services as required
  • Review / Approve outside Calibration reports
  • Maintain current Calibration records
  • Maintain Calibration Records Archive
  • Maintain control and traceability of Calibration Standards
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements Education / Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Job Requirements
  • Two years’ experience in the related field
  • Perform calibrations on basic equipment such as times, calipers, etc.
  • Read and understand all internal calibration procedures
  • Basic understanding of NIST/17025
  • Good Math Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Advanced understanding of ISO 17025
  • Communicates with the outside
  • Perform calibrations on more complex equipment such as comparators, pressure testers, etc.
