• UT Health Athens is a 127‑bed facility, including a 24‑hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center; advanced diagnostic technology; 10‑bed ICU; maternity unit radiation therapy center; and a stand‑alone ED in Gun Barrel City.

• Performs CT studies/procedures for patients of all ages (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric) utilizing ionizing radiation and treatment of disease.
• Functions under the general supervision of the CT supervisor and in cooperation with the radiologists.
• This position is subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in Radiography from an accredited college.
• Upon completion of an accredited radiology program, the employee will have 90 days to become ARRT registered and licensed through the Texas Medical Board.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred

Job Requirements:

• 2 years as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist.
• CT experience.
